Amino Acids

The building blocks that make up proteins. Humans need 20 different amino acids to function properly. Non-essential Amino Acids are made by the body and do not need to be ingested from food or supplements. Others, called Essential Amino Acids, must be obtained from food or supplement sources. However, both essential and non-essential amino acids may be supplemented for various reasons.
